This was a really fun read, man. And not just because it's the first story I've read on here that featured the name of a man I know in the title (Daniel Tanner lives nearby). DR and Raine, and of course Mama, were delightful to get to know, even for just a short time, and even with Mama's... explosive end.
Your writing is quirky enough to remind me of my own (could be good or bad, dependin'), but your physical descriptions are excellent. Creative but not cryptic. Sometimes people try so hard not to say the exact thing, they end up writing a riddle instead of a description.

You weren’t kidding about DR! Though, I must admit that I quite like Mama so far. She went from “halp, I’m dying 🥺” to “peace out 😎” real quick 😆
